Quick-swap payload mounting system for attaching different modules to the robot.

Requirements

  • Dovetail mount: Standard dovetail rail on robot top for sliding modules in/out
  • Locking mechanism: Spring-loaded detent or quarter-turn lock for secure attachment
  • Power connector: Standardized 4-pin power+data connector (5V+12V+UART+GND) per bay
  • Module templates: Parametric OpenSCAD template for designing new modules
  • Example modules: Cargo tray (flat shelf), camera boom (elevated camera mount), cup holder
  • Cross-variant: Same dovetail works on all three chassis variants
  • Weight limit: Each bay supports up to 2kg payload
