Summary

Standardized rail system for mounting sensors across all three variants.

Requirements

  • T-slot rail: 20x20mm aluminum extrusion profile (or OpenSCAD equivalent for printing)
  • Quick-swap brackets: Slide-on brackets for RPLIDAR, D435i, IMX219 cameras, UWB anchors
  • Tool-free swap: Thumb screw or spring clip retention — no tools needed to move sensors between robots
  • Cable routing: Integrated cable clips along rail for tidy wiring
  • Height adjustable: Vertical rail sections with indexed positions every 25mm
  • Cross-variant: Same rail profile fits SaltyLab stem, SaltyRover posts, SaltyTank uprights
  • Export: STL for brackets, DXF for rail profile (if custom), BOM for off-the-shelf parts
